Empowering Tanzanian Female Adventure Guides

​As part of our commitment to inclusive growth, a portion of proceeds and support generated through the Tanzania Travel & Tourism Investment Roadshow will be used to equip and uplift local female tour guides from both mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar.

​

Through a lottery 5 female guides: 2 from mainland and 2 from Zanzibar and 1 Mt. Kilimanjaro guide will get a pack with the following:

• Weather-protective clothing: Lightweight, durable gear to ensure comfort and safety.

• Reusable water bottles & field bags: Essential for hydration and convenience during long tours.

• A certification course: A paid course of language, safari car driving, marine life specialization course, scuba diving or first aid and emergency response certification .

• Hygiene kits for the field: Including wipes, hand sanitizer, and menstrual care products.

In addition to the above, the female Kilimanjaro guide will be provided with the following:

• A field tent: a portable tent for shelter to ensure comfort, and safety.

 

These resources are designed to build confidence, improve working conditions, and support the continued excellence of Tanzanian guides—both women and men—who serve as frontline ambassadors of our nation’s tourism brand.

A raffle will take place at each event to announce 1 winner.
